As a retired Port Authority Police Detective, I had the pleasure of working with some very good NYCPD officers around the Port Authority Bus Terminal back in the 1980's. We are all brothers in law enforcement, best of luck to the NYCPD.
Tomorrow, Dec. 28th, is the 35th anniversary of the line of duty death of Police Officer Kenny Mahon, 41 Pct. Rest in peace Kenny. The boys of Simpson Street will never forget you.
I have carried a dog tag in my wallet for George Howard,NY/NJ Port since shortly after 9/1/1. My heart goes out to all who lost a loved one on that horrible horrible day.
My heart aches for all the families and friends that have had to experience such a tradegy. God Bless and keep all others safe. I ocould never forget. I am married to a retired Police Chief from upstate NY.
My husband Alexander John Daube retired from the NY police department. He passed away in 2005. I understand, and feel the pain the families are going through. I have these families in my thoughts, and prayers.
